If a few people don't get mrsa and possibly die from it the savings will soon be visible.

As for washing hands and all that jazz, just have toilets that won't unlock till you wash your hands.

I like your door lock idea.

I doubt the savings will be visible. I have worked in Hospital Construction specifically infection control for seven years now. There's a shit ton going on that is more problematic vs using copper handrails. I will say the more its talked about the quicker it will get implemented. Washing hands and surfaces is WAY more necessary. And we still don't have your cool door lock yet.
