it doesn't have anything to do with dispensing fluids via copper pipe... it's about making handrails / bedrails / elevators / everything else that you touch from copper as copper is antimicrobial. nothing to do with plumbing.

That would be the industry then. The entire metal industry. Copper is a lot more expensive, 4x more than stainless and if you were complaining about prices of health care now, after copper no one would be able to afford it. Stainless is disinfected daily, that is much more cost effective than making copper hand rails, bed rails and all other.

i would argue 4x as much... given the savings from having to pay someone to disinfect as well as the disinfectants. would be savings over time not immediate.
plus copper is $2.7/lb and copper tubing is maybe $3/ft... 304 stainless is $2.20/ft or so
