I'm not even a denier, but I get attacked for not buying into the hyper catastrophic predictions. Every fucking tech site now is full of nihilist wanker geeks literally believing the end of the world is 25 years away.

I was trying to get higher in the thread - you guys are all loons. Whether an article is in Esquire? Wtf does that have to do with content of the article? Nothing.

The most important point of the article in my opinion was how the scientists were getting death threats, silenced from speech by right wing nut jobs. That is as bad as the Left Clinton SJW PC silencing squad - WAKE UP HYPOCRITES!

Whether these scientists are telling the truth as they see it, actual truth, manipulating data - DEBATE THEM WITH THE TRUTH, not silencing them on bs with yelling and screeching like a bunch of feminists.

For fuck's sake, I am ashamed of the comments above and the silencing of speech demonstrated here. Shame on you Voat-mates.

I don't completely believe it's as bad as they say either, but part of me kinda wishes it's true. I realize people will never take the responsibility of at least stopping the increase of our numbers, even though we're so obviously a plague it's ridiculous. Even as I'm writing this there's an ad on TV raising money to stop the millions of deaths in Africa by ordinary diseases. That continent has such a big population growth as it is that they're expecting humankind to reach the 9 billion(!) years earlier than previously calculated. It drives me nuts that so few people want to see that our numbers are the root of pretty much all current serious problems. Anything nature could do to reduce us would be a true godsend, preferably to around 10% of what it's now. Sadly a disaster will also take a lot of animals with it, but if we keep on multiplying like this, a disaster will happen anyway, but not before we caused a whole lot more damage in the process. /rant

This isn't a complex issue. On the one hand, a bunch of scientists say the planet is warming. On the other, a bunch of corporate lobbyists, partisan wingnuts and corrupt right wing politicians are saying it isn't.

at least stopping the increase of our numbers

There are about as many Whites alive today as there were 50 years ago, in the dark ages when the world population numbered 4 billion fewer.

...So whose numbers are increasing?

You're a fucking idiot, the westernised nations all have their birth rates under control, it's the shit holes of the world that need to be fixed.

Glad to see you are advocating for genocide of niggers, you might be able to fit in here after all.

Sorry, but wouldn't a nihilist be skeptical? The whole "We can't know anything" philosophy lends itself to skepticism I think.

Possibly a geek form of nihilism where humanity is just another species, nothing special, and who cares if we go extinct. It's a very... punchable philosophy.
