I'm slightly cringing. Hardness and toughness are two different properties. Also the headline puts quotes on 'four times tougher than titanium' when the article actually says:
The material is four times harder than pure titanium and has applications in making longer-lasting medical implants, they say.
Would be nice if they could give some actual values, like yield strength, or Brinell hardness.
I wonder if this "super hard" alloy is any where near the hardness and toughness or super alloys like Inconel or the like.
