This has to be one of the best cold sandwiches I've ever eaten. Ingredients:
- 2 slices of Lebanon Bologna
- Muenster cheese
- Red onion slices
- Bread & butter pickles (b&b sandwich stackers for more coverage)
- Spicy brown mustard (yellow if you're in a pinch)
- White bread (I'm wanting to try this later with either dark rye or sourdough bread)
This sandwich was created on a whim out of curiosity (I was always a little afraid to try Lebanon bologna, figured I'd be wasting my money on something too similar to salami - man, I was WRONG). This sandwich is meaty, smokey, onion-ey (if that's even a word), sweet, and spicy/tangy at the same time. The texture ranges from soft to mildly crunchy (onions, pickles & lettuce). The perfect mix of textures and flavors. New favorite, hands down.
