I'm asking because I'm an alcholic single mom :(

Well, he wasn't a single dad, so maybe he felt he could slack off a bit.
If you can feed and clothe your kid(s), you're doing ok

My syster was actually feed and very well clothed by my upper middle class not single parents, and she dyed because of their neglet so that's unfortunatly not true :(

Are you a parent? I don't think I will know when I'm fucking it up, that's the problem. My son tells me all the time I'm the best mom in the world and nobody else he knows has as good mom as he, and his friends (that are over every day) talk about it, it's a consensus that I'm the best.. I do have rules though... I talk to the kids and try to show interest in what they say and do and never ever loose my temper, Im extreemly patient..
But.. He has seen me drunk, mornings and evenings and talked to me about it so I've been wondering if this "best mom in the world" thing is something disfunctional he does because of my drinking.
Therefore I'm wondering if someone thinks positively of their parent despite drinking :/ I really want to know if I have a chanche of him liking me when he's old enough not to have too live with me ; (
