My only issue is why did, out of all the victims, not one say anything until relatively recently? Some are time around the launch of his new show other date back a few years, but all of them seem to be years after the fact although I could be wrong about that. This isn't like the Basketball coach who was assaulting kids but adults who should know better.

It's not that I don't believe them, but that I'm wholly skeptical and Cosby is only suing some and not all which somewhat validates that some may be authentic and others just chasing money.

Reminds me of the charges against Michael Jackson in the 90s. I never believed Jackson harmed a child. Weird dude who still somewhat believed he was a child and would sleep in the same bed as kids who weren't his own sure though I'd believe that the guy had a fucked up life.

Right or wrong I can't blame the guy for defending himself.

There is also the pay-off option. Michael Jackson I think messed up when he paid off the first family, and therefore always had to deal with the issue of parents trying to rope their kid into a scheme to set him up.

I'm not saying Michael Jackson didn't do anything wrong, I'm not saying he did. I'm simply using it as a reference to where part of the problems with being a celebrity are. You want it to disappear, and are advised to pay out and make the family shut up, then others get that little sparkle in their eye that a buck can be made. I think the same situation applies to Bill Cosby. Did he bang chicks that were intoxicated or out of their mind? I'm sure, especially if the parties for people with lots of money are even a tenth of what I imagine them to be. Was their intentional intent to drug and abuse a woman? That's left to be seen, but if you can make the claim and then cash a check, why not (morals aside) ?

Right. I don't doubt that at all. For Cosby it's a part of the lifestyle of being a celebrity. Go to parties, get wasted, and bang wasted chicks out of your league.

A dark yet.... I dunno fun? Idea is that some manager or agent or some type who takes celebrities to these sort of parties prime and prep would be lays for the celebrity by drugging them for them leaving the celebrity unaware they're about to nail rape bait. I'm just totally paranoid of these types and their lifestyles who can live so high above the law.

Edit: Jackson just happened at the worst time when the country was getting trigger happy with lawsuits.

Cosby could have already paid out millions in settlements that require non-disclosure from the plaintiff. Just because this issue has only gotten mainstream media attention recently does not mean this hasn't been an ongoing battle for decades.

Right, but considering the sheer numbers of upwards of 50 or more incidents you'd think someone would have spilled the beans sooner unless he's got a world class set of attorneys and PR team which he probably did at one point I just don't see it in the last two decades since he started waning from fame.

Good for him. Innocent until proven guilty. If you were raped, press charges. Fuck this "convict him in the media" bullshit.
