I thought of that too, but my rationale was that if you go around it you count 6 rows until you get to the one you started with. A row is linked to the observers pov, if the observer shifts so do the unique rows he sees until he reaches the starting point. But if this is the solution then a 3x3 planted grid could be said of having 16 rows of 3 trees by the same logic.

Let's see if someone else finds a better suited solution.

I hadn't thought of the pov change, that would definitely change things, I would absolutely love to see if someone else has a different solution.
