I find Atlanta is relatively conservative and a good programmer city, weirdly.

Oddly enough, Peachtree City has a thriving IT market.

Stay out of South Dekalb and Little Five Points and you'll be fine.

Just a heads up to anyone that wants to be hired as phone support guy - make sure you barely speak English, or have a very strong foreign accent that makes you sound unintelligible, because that's apparently what those fucking companies are looking for on that job.

What about a remote gig? You would have absolute freedom to live in the city (or town) of your choice and travel whenever and wherever you want.

Instead of tucking your tail between your legs, why not stay where you are and stand up for yourself? "My city is progressive" is kind of a cowardly reason for moving.

I mean, fuck, We are talking about whiny-ass progressives and you are out-whiny-assing the progressives.

I'll tell you a secret. I'm a programmer who lives in a conservative area. But I'm not going to tell you where it is because we don't like whiny-assed cowards here. That's what a progressive city is for.
