My state DMV (I'm not American, but the equivalent), instituted taking your pupil biometrics to issue licenses. Not sure what to do, other than not get one, mine's been expired for 3 years and I can't get it replaced because of this shit.

In the US you can be legally compelled to provide your biometrics. You can't be legally compelled to reveal your passwords unless law enforcement already has evidence that you're hiding evidence of an illegal act.
