Been practicing picking locks. So fucking easy, man.
During the move, my get home bag, bug out bags were disassembled for ease of packing, moving. I have just started putting them back together.
Added to the survival food pile. Broke into my stash to test how vacuum sealing worked on some things. 8 months later, trail mix keeps really well. For a lark, I had sealed potato chips. Don't do that. They get a stale taste while staying crispy.
Currently working on backing up digital entertainment (songs). My current favorite playlists are on Spotify and I cancelled my premium after they decided that they could censor music. Plus, my my emergency backup phone doesn't have a sim card so it's basically a tablet with no data plan so I need to get those songs and put it on there.
If I can remember this week, I'll crack into the jar of grease I have in the fridge and try rendering it. Maybe I can make candles or soap with it. I have a stack of oak firewood outside so if I want to try to make soap, I'll need to have a few fires.

Still in Harvey recovery mode so not a whole lot. Doing some mental calculating of what I want for a whole-house generator. Need something with a good engine, like a Honda v-twin, with an automatic transfer switch and enough capacity to run AC and fridge/freezer, but I'm still figuring out what I want to do about leaving it unbalanced with one leg floating or having three split-phase circuits bases in the house. Connected to natural gas with a gasoline option, of course.
Also kicking around the idea of getting a bobbed five-ton but that's more of a dream. They usually cost around 20k.
Not reorganizing my BOB - I didn't use it, but I think it would have held up well if I'd had to leave for Harvey.
I know my M35A2 series goes for $2500 to $13K depending on condition and location. You could probably get one of those, drop the secondary shaft and pull the axle and tires, mess around with the brakes (but that's air and hydraulics). You'll might consider shortening the bed but it'll do you. Or you could keep it at the 23 foot length and enjoy the tighter turn radius. You might also need to seal the impeller shaft area for the secondary shaft.... I guess it depends on how handy you are. Of course, knowing those things and then fabricating what you need are two different things.
Had some disposable income, so I went shopping for long term stable food items. Canned meats, powdered milk, rice and beans. The price of meat has gotten stupid again, so I pulled my big game tags for this year.
Shit what's in your stash? Cash only buys so much. Fill your stash up with xanax and oxy and you'll have a army of twack fucks at your whim lol. As much cash as possible
Sort: Top

I'm hit or miss on some kinds of locks but most locks are scary easy. Consider getting one of those clear practice locks. Helps bunches.
