Look at the article again and how it doesn't say what you claim it does. Add up the 45% and the 40% for whites, and 15% remain who are undecided, confused, don't care, or simply didn't want to answer the question. Now look at the figure for blacks. You somehow claim that there are no blacks who mess up the questionnaire like whites did. This is special pleading. Subtract say 15% from the 44% and you get 29% not 44%.
This is the way that *all surveys are conducted and reported. I seriously doubt that the public opinion survey company has any hidden motives, let alone one that consists of "demonizing" whites. The results may indeed be skewed due to sample choice in terms of geographical areas in the USA, but sneakily trying to say whites are more anti-immigrant isn't a motive no matter how you mis-state the percentages.
Public opinion surveys usually have some limitations, but conspiring to fit in with somebody's personal hobbyhorse isn't one of them in this case. Reread the article. Look at the methodology if you wish. Then investigate what the company actually does.
