I respect Putin more and more every day. That guy has a fucking huge pair of balls. This is the only reasonable response to refugees; assimilate or don't come, it's that easy.

I respect him whilst also acknowledging his bad sides. But it is crazy that you have to turn to someone such as him for a breath of sanity in today's world

Honestly though, what has he done to deserve our ire? As far as I can tell there's a mass media campaign to make him look bad to justify the eventual rearmament for WW3. Has he really done anything THAT bad?

The fact that Russia's United Russia party has no coherent ideology except for its Putin worship and managed democracy is worrying.

However, his anti-globalism and genuine love for his people makes him correct and wiser then the leftism in power currently. I've resolved to separate his maxims and foreign policy from his domestic power maintenance.

Theres little doubt he's a corrupt criminal but he's a corrupt criminal that loves his country and does a damn fine job of leading.

ALL politicians are corrupt. You have to be corrupt to get elected. Putin is a badass end of story.

Does anyone have a source that attributes this quote to him? Not saying I don't believe it but on the internet my motto is, "trust but verify."

yaaaa glad I asked. Guys, we are better than this. I think many people have valid opinions to express here; but the way to do that is not to falsely attribute quotations to a significant person and use that person to lend legitimacy to the ideas expressed. These ideas are valid when properly articulated. However, you will not accomplish anything by fanboying useless garbage like this "quote." Try this: sit down for an hour and articulate why you feel the way you do about this issue on a word processor, then post it. Before you know it, you will be the significant person that everyone falsely attributes quotes too.

It's nice to see a man stand up and be a man.

We would have more like that in America if it hadn't been drilled into us every day to hate ourselves and our history.

It's time for us to be men and stand up against those who are drilling this hatred into our brains.

This made the rounds on Facebook half a decade ago; it was fake then it's fake now. Can we please raise the quality of our posts above paranoid grandma level?

Apologies, I did not realize it was fabricated, I cam across it on twitter. Need to be reshooped to remove Putin.

If that is indeed his speech it's pretty mild by his standards. Here he is taking an axe to the European mindset that gave Europe away to the refugees... in 2013

Any of those actually traced to Putin? You might as well blame him for every Russian to have died while he was president and it would be equally valid.

I'd rather my leader kill a couple of journalists than destroy my country through immigration.

Citing Wikipedia, especially to the articles and reports that were meant to be biased for one side or another, isn't a great argument for any conversation. Just sayin'

How is this even allowed to be posted here, it's not only some stupid Facebook meme, but it's just blatantly wrong.

Seriously, why are there so many Putinoids on the internet? Are the Kremlin trolls really this legion or are there really this many alienated people so hostile to their own governments that they're willing to go to the extremes of flirting with treason in boosting a hostile foreign autocrat?
