I never went to Muslim school, did you? I never said the Muslim call to prayer was the most beautiful thing I ever heard, did you?
[–] Kurplow 1 point 1 point 2 points (+2|-1) ago
Even secular people have noted the beauty of the Muslim call to prayer, and of parts of the Quaran. I've never heard either spoken in Arabic, but as I've heard it recounted, you don't even need to speak Arabic to appreciate it, even to be moved by it, emotionally.
We listen to instrumental music, and are moved by it. The same can be true for sequences of sound derived from language. Sometimes I listen to music with lyrics in other languages, and I sometimes find the sounds of other languages beautiful (and the passion of singers moving).
What is "Muslim school?"

Obama does not know what the hell he is. I mean that is all his books are about trying to figure out what he is.

If Obama is a Muslim, he's a terrible Muslim.

There are people here who really believe that Bernie would be anything other than a disaster for this country. If people are crazy enough to buy that, there's probably some Birthers here.
[–] Kurplow 3 points 0 points 3 points (+3|-3) ago
Yes, people really believe these things. People will believe almost anything that conforms to their biases.
Source: my highly conservative parents really believe these things. Those visits are fun.

Read the book "The cias insertion of Barack Obama into the White House" by Wayne madden. The whole Kenya thing is a smoke screen. His time and his associates in Indonesia tell the real story.

And the irony that these same people consider George Bush a Christian when he only became "born again" after age 40 when he punched out his dad while drunk. What has Bush ever done in his life for Christians other that set up a multi-billion slush fund for churches called faith-based funding? I know it gave Jesus freaks major hardons when Bush publicly said he was still deciding on whether evolution is real or not, but don't those gullible idiot Jesus freaks know they've been used?

Bush also claimed more than once to have been spoken to by God, personally, before invading Iraq, and he called other world leaders while trying to form his 'coalition of the willing' and spoke of biblical demons being afoot in the middle east.
If I was a religious lunatic, that would certainly Roger my Hammerstein.
