IIRC, he was not a professor at Harvard, he was at U of Chicago. Besides, saying a lawyer is a "scholar" on any particular legal topic is like any random day laborer saying he is an architect.

You are right he graduated from Harvard law and lectured in Chicago. A lawyer has a juris doctorate. What are your qualifications to judge who is a scholar of law and who is not?

I'm saying all lawyers have a Juris Doctorate. It requires deep study and real-world experience to become a "First Amendment scholar" or an "antitrust expert." You can't just proclaim yourself an expert in a subject.

I have a JD, btw.
