That's pretty much what all this "safe space" nonsense is really about, suppressing political and social views that left wing authoritarians don't like.

What's going to come from this is a very strong neo-conversitive movement. It's going to be in equal to if not greater than the "safe space" liberalism.

I predict that fascism will begin to grow very powerful over the next half-decade if this shit doesn't stop.

And I mean very powerful.

We're basically living in a 1984 world. Change the narrative, and change the future.

Wrong, all of this is a war on the 1st Amendment perpetrated by the powers that be.

Well, it fits the theory that this entire SJW deal is created by the government as psy-ops. Also fits the other theories that twatter/facebook are CIA run/inspired/etc.

Disgraceful... and I'm not even a conservative or a libertarian.

Neither are some of the people they are doing this to. Brad Glasgow surveyed hundreds of social media accounts that were established in the #Gamergate movement. Most of them are liberals. Twitter has been practicing its censorship algorithms on this group.

Because they have been infiltrated by authoritarian leftists. It's what they do.

I hope they shadowban Trump - the amount of damage he'd do by publicizing it would absolutely destroy Twitter.

As you point out, given the collateral damage, they would be stupid to go that far (though given their history, I would not be willing to bet against them doing so).

However they do not need to go to full shadow banning to have a significant impact. Instead of completely hiding an account, they could just dial them down a notch (i.e. greylisting) and hide them some of the time. Particularly for other users who have turned timeline on (until it becomes the default), they would not be able to determine if the tweet was being hidden from them, or if the 'objective' algorithm had merely not selected it for them.

Deleted my account yesterday, once I found out they were taking Saudi business partners and hired Sarkeesian as some sort of fucking moderator I had to give my head a shake

And within days of Feminist Frequency becoming part of their Trust and Safety Council, someone who disagreed with Feminist Frequency had his account suspended.

I don't think we would use these companies if there were viable alternatives committed to functioning as free speech platforms. But I also think that many of us use them for reasons that have little to do with social validation. I've found Twitter quite helpful for learning about events the mainstream news media refuses to cover. Of course, their willingness to censor information to protect the feelings of a handful of fragile sjws seriously limits that benefit.

There's always GNU Social, especially since any instance can communicate with any other instance(sealion.club, freezepeach.xyz, etc). Unfortunately, too many people are still on Twitter for it to serve the same degree of purpose, but it's just a matter of getting the snowball rolling.

I've liked Twitter as an additional news feed. It has its niche. But thier shenanigans are getting to be too much to continue supporting them.

I cut the Twitter cord a long time ago along with Facebook and only use Reddit for a few special interest subs nowadays. I have no patience for censorship and safe space bullshit.

Stop using Twitter and other non-free speech platforms! Or, better yet, can someone that is tech-savvy please create an alternative (like what is happening with Voat)? I would appreciate if smart, skilled people that believe in the freedoms that made the United States a strong, successful country would push better products out into the community.

Look at the timelines of these companies and see when the cancer sets in - it's pretty much always after bringing in "business" people. They want to appeal to a broader audience & (try to) rake in that suburban housewife & teen-girl money so they decide to "clean it up" by bringing in diversity 'tards.

The tech guys are to busy making shit to worry about what the business peeps they brought in do as long as they're left alone with code to write.

You're either a SJW libtard cuck, or a right wing evangelical apologist who hates poor people.

Sad, but not surprising, that some people would rather get fucked in the ass than do the same to others

It's cool that we don't really have to fight against sjws, they self destruct on their own faster than a Muslim in a suicide vest.
