An Uber strike cannot work because there will always be selfish fucks who want to make the extra $$ while there is less competition. I bet a lot of people specifically went out to drive uber on that day even if it was not part of their regular schedule.

What if you start getting less quality drivers and in turn the customer no longer wishes to use UBER because the service they offer drops to that of a regular cab.

Uber is already doing that. They hire like crazy, and will take just about anyone. They want to get a huge amount of drivers because when there are more, uber can pay them less. I have already noticed a sharp decline in quality.

TIL wanting to earn a living is being a selfish fuck. Bernie supporter, yes?

Youre looking at it wrong. If they wanted to earn a better living they would band together and strike, not profiteer at every opportunity. Sure they can make an extra 100 bucks the day of the strike, but how about the next several years of living with the paycut? Who is to say uber wont want 30% next year?

You can't lose if you bet the house on human greed.
