Did you watch the video? His solution is to lift the cap which would result in everyone paying the same percentage. The cap is responsible for the highest wage earners paying a lower rate for social security than a guy making minimum wage.

Where does he say everyone would pay the same percentage? He said let's lifts the cap on those who make $118,500. OK. And then he says have everyone earning more than $250K pay into social security. So do the people who earn between $118,500 and 250K not have to pay in?

He's not saying we lift the cap to $250K. In the video he's saying only the people who make over $250K should pay in. So that means everyone making less than $250K doesn't have to pay in? Should we then all strive to make up to $249,999 so we don't have to have any of our paycheck deducted?

It would make more sense if he was raising the cap to $250K. But he doesn't say that. Instead he's saying he's getting rid of the cap altogether and having only those who make over $250K pay in. If that's not what he means, he's not saying it well.

@organicgangbang, since you are a staunch supporter of Sanders you may know where he is coming from in this video. Would you please address the questions I asked in my parent comment since toker7 does not seem to have any answers? Thanks!
