He doesn't try to "correct" it, though. Not too long ago, everybody would have started the answer to a question like this with ridiculing Trump and stating how he supposedly had no chance of ever getting the candidacy.

Thats not how an adult answers questions. It would have added absolutely nothing to his response to correct the question or make some snarky remark so he didn't.
Just because he didn't start his answer with "NUH UH THAT FUCKER IS GOING TO LOSE!", doesn't mean he believes or even acknowledges that Trump might win.
Depiste what Trump fans keep parroting, candidates don't need to constantly be on the attack and it doesn't make them weak or soft just because they know it's smarter to play the defensive, especially when your opponents' attacks turn out to be flat bullshit most of the time. Just look at Bernie. Every time Hillary opens her lying cocksucker, he gets a giant wave of donations. Some people play hard, some people play smart.
