I think you're confusing political talking points with real political cleavages. For class, I'd revert the the classic Marxist materialist definition with Bernie, as Bernie is an old as dirt socialist. Class is a materially real thing, as it is fundamentally about economics. No more, no less. How much are you paid for your labor? What are your income opportunities? How are you taxed? How does failure impact your ability to eat or feed your children? That has nothing to do with identity politics, as I can't choose to identify as a rich man and go buy a Bentley tomorrow. Class is a real thing, measurable by your bank account.
"Class warfare" by this definition is literally warfare. Rich people lined up against walls and shot, mansions confiscated, factories nationalized, deeds burned.
Which is why "class warfare" as used by the GOP is comical. For them, class warfare is simply pointing out that Americans are getting screwed by the elite, that we have experienced dramatic reductions in real income over 30 years, and that people are right to resent it. All of which is true, just ask Trump!
