It's not that he's coming up short, it's that the plan is designed to reduce the costs by basically cutting out the middleman.

No way they cut out over 50% of the costs that way. If so, he has the burden of actually proving it and not just saying it.

I'm sure the proof is already there. The US pays more per-capita for healthcare than countries that have a single payer system.
