Maybe people expect this from a politician, but not Bill Cosby, and that's why they're harder on him?

I think part of the reason that the Bill Cosby thing really garnered a lot of attention is because of his character, Huxtable, was just so damn wholesome. These accusations are so far removed from that character that they naturally pique curiosity and demand attention. I think the part that I dislike the most is that the man might or might not be reprehensible, but the character had a lot of good impact on people. I have a kid, so watching the kids shows with him now, there is a disturbing lack of any attempt whatsoever to instill good moral fiber into kids through the programming. The days of Full House, Family Matters, and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood are pretty much over. Instead, there's just a bunch of fast moving garbage on the screen for 30 minutes, riddled with advertisements, with no attempt at making a point or teaching a moral lesson at all. The Cosby Show is basically off of every network now. Regardless of Bill Cosby being accused, his character was a good person and had a lot of things to offer, even in today's generation. And some accusations have silenced that voice, poisoned it to the point where the good messages ring hollow and are seen as hypocritical and untrue. Whether or not Bill Cosby turns out to be a good guy or a monster, it's the kids that suffer by missing out on those good messages IMHO.
It is...concerning that the allegations against Clinton of actual rape are so silenced in the MSM that the majority of us never even heard of them. Considering CNN's conduct with treating Hillary Clinton and their conduct of treating Bernie Sanders, in that context the lack of journalistic integrity is even more concerning.
If you wanted to, we could probably spin the race card. Bill Cosby's black, so the media makes accusations against him and paints him out automatically to be a criminal. Bill Clinton is white, so they gave him a pass on it. That's about the only way anyone's going to get anyone on the left to even begin to pay attention to this idea at all.

Maybe that, maybe also when it came to light. Maybe also because the people who usually politicize abuse of women are the same type of women to protect one of their own.
