He's referring to Kim Dotcom, for those unaware.

>Bankers destroy global economy: cool, have a bonus.

>Dude lets his users share movies: SWAT team, helicopters, raid his home, millions of dollars trying to extradite him.

Nobody pays them to root out corruption.

People need their own PAC to actually buy politicians that represent their views. Don't represent views? No money.

We don't have meaningful money. The oligarchs have it all.

How I see this:

Pirate Bay gets rousted. They toss someone in the clink for three years or so. It gets realized it was all bullshit and he is released.

Megaupload, Kim gets rousted, moves to New Zealand. The US wants to extract him from that country to try him in the US over Fucking Hollywood?

Help me if I am incorrect here. What the fuck would warrant extradition from another country over data. Jesus, even Julian Assange and Snowden arent behind bars. You would think Murder right?

As Stan from Southpark says: Dude, this is pretty fucked up right here!

moves to New Zealand

From Hong Kong. He's a German citizen, he's never even been to the US.

OK I completely forgot about that. More WTF is America involved for? Was megaupload here in the states? NOOOOO after brief research.

Megaupload Ltd was an online Hong Kong–based company established in 2005 that ran online services related to file storage and viewing, including megaupload.com.

This whole thing smells like rotten fish.

The gov just follows the money. Which happens to be in the big corporations

The government will NEVER go after corruption, it is their very essence.

This would be because the corrupt folks have money and make campaign donations. Online pirates do not. Lobbies and money are a powerful tool in Washington and we simply do not have anyone representing us any more.

There used to be people in the U.S. that would fight over "no taxation without representation", but they died out long ago.

I am definitely a huge pussy and I am braver at opposing the government than most people I know. If we need people like me to do more than opt out at the airport, we are fucked. I don't even vote because I will just throw my votes away on write ins, libertarians, greens, and the occasional Paul anyway.

Uh...

Shit I don't have the time or the desire to go through and list them all. You can spend a life time on Illinois corruption alone.

Saying the words Illinois and then Curroption will be redundant

The government doesn't go after corruption because they'd be arresting themselves.
