I think I should not know your sexual orientation from a brief encounter. In fact I shouldn't know unless you offer it up in context or I ask, which won't happen because I don't care. People should practice the art of leaving each other alone and minding their own business.

Everyone deserves to be happy, regardless of their specific "interests".
I just have trouble understanding why the use of the word marriage is so important instead of civil unions. They both mean the same thing only one derives from an old religious background.
Shit Marriage is a scam anyway, just look at the success rate today.

To me the reason why marriage vs. civil union is such a debate is because it evokes memories of "separate but equal".
I'd honestly be totally in favor of removing the government from marriage completely.
Regardless of whether the relationship is straight or gay, the couple applies for a Civil Union from the government which is purely for tax and custody purposes.
Marriages would become entirely the purview of religion, not subject to any government oversight, but it would have absolutely zero legal standing.

Because the United States laws and statutes use the word marriage not civil union, as such a civil union would not create the same rights as calling it marriage.

Government has no business in marriage.
It's a political grandstand because the Obama administration is so god fucking awful and Obama needs a legacy.
Gay civil rights is the lowest of the low first world problems.

If you get legit, coherent consent you can fuck whoever you like in my opinion.

I believe people have a right to do what the want without the government getting involved. Not a big deal, - I am kind of annoyed at super flamboyant, in your face gayness.

I don't like faggots or other mentally ill lunatics like Bruce Jenner.
