I don't know what happened on Reddit, but I hope it doesn't happen on Voat.

It will be the user base that decides. Reddit is doing just fine.

I find it heartening, the higher ups can still be made afraid.

You know who to thank for that don't you?

Look no further than "No Libs" www.reddit.com/r/NoLibsWatch

Look how many times he's been banned.

Look how many people are fighting to call him and his fellow trolls out on their bullshit.

The "No Libs Crew" are the biggest anti-Ron Paul group of people you'll ever find on the internet and they successfully trolled the living shit out of anyone that was pro Ron Paul on Reddit.

His problem is the tougher issues are always the same solution- remove it or privatize it.

Yes, most of the everyday issues he has a no-nonsense approach that is refreshing to see. If that was all, then he would be golden. But he also preaches to remove the Fed and bring back the gold standard. Too late, we don't have enough gold, nor can we obtain enough, to monetize the dollar at current or even near current value. The economy of the US and the world would implode overnight.

Audit the Fed- this should have been his main, and only, battle cry. Clean out the corruption and get proper enforcement of their regulations. Oops, Reguation, I said the Neo-Libertarian dirty word, didn't I?

I think a lot of the rationalization of not supporting Ron Paul comes from people who envision him as having absolute power if he was elected president. It's funny when the same people excuse Obama for not being able to accomplish any of his stated goals.

I wanted to stop the senseless violence and overreach of power, and Paul would have only had the political capitol to tackle those key issues and a few others. I highly doubt a Paul presidency would have seen the eradication of the FDA, the Department of Education, or the EPA. There wouldn't have been the support needed to accomplish those things, even if he wanted to put them on the high priority list.

I don't think I've ever seen Ron Paul yell like that. Interesting video.

My biggest take away from this vid: this kind of show would never happen today. You would never see a modern politician put themselves in a spot like this where a "gotcha" moment is just waiting to happen. They would never take the chance of being pulled off their talking points, or where the topics of discussion haven't been pre-screened. You can see it all through the vid that Paul is becoming unflapped (and rightfully so). Anymore, that would become ammunition for talking heads and pundits to blather over and discuss how "Paul's political aspirations are now shot".

It's a shame how controlled and manicured the whole process has become.

Watching this video convinced me of two things,

1 - God is real.

2 - Ron Paul is God.

Holy shit this show is terrible. Never were they actually debating the idea of legalizing drugs, they were just hurling lame disses at each other at the top of their voices. I learned nothing about either position.

What is with the host of that show? Getting in Ron Paul's face and calling him slime, saying he would puke on him if he ever got into the white house lol.. What a dick.

That was Morton Downey Jr.'s schtick. He was the king of trash TV and his character was a bombastic, belligerent blowhard. Him blowing up and getting in his guest's face was an everyday occurrence. I'm sure Ron Paul was expecting something like that to happen when he accepted the invitation to come on.

Ah, well that adds some clarity. It was definitely trashy.

Ron Paul has balls of steel. To go on that show knowing that you were going to be attacked and ridiculed is commendable.
