Is he the only person not attacking our right to encryption right now? Not to mention how blatantly clear it's become that none of our nsa intelligence could spot these two radical people buying up guns and flying in and out of the country?

Why can't he be more popular! Even I don't agree with every last thing he says, but he does seem to be a dim light in a dark field.

Sanders is absolutely clear on his stance on mass surveilance. Paul is not the only one fighting the good fight, but as of now all the leading candidates dont give a flying shit about the people.

I agree, and honestly I think Sanders could be a good candidate, way way better than Clinton. I disagree with almost all of his policies, I think his economic plan is terrible, but I believe he's honest and not someone's puppet, unlike almost everyone else. Him, Paul, and Trump all seem to be honest and consistent at least.

Edit: another big problem I have with him though is his gun control stance. I'm very pro gun, banning assault weapons doesn't stop bad people from using them. It didn't stop them in Paris, it didn't stop them in California, and Chicago is a mess despite strict gun regulations.

Trump among them - wants to shut down the Internet because he's afraid of ISIS. What a pussy.

I personally don't like him, but I'd take him over Christie or Clinton. I find it particularly ironic that Republicans that were asking for Obamas birth certificate are so willing to accept a Canadian as their candidate. Also from what I last read, it's still unclear if he technically can be president, but no one is making a fuss about it...yet.

Edit: to be clear I wasn't referencing you or anyone here, just that it was such a big deal 5 years ago, and now no one is saying anything. Personally I don't care about place of birth for a candidate.

Q. What's the difference between Republicans and Democrats?

A. Republicans want to take away half your rights. Democrats want to take away the other half.

people need to understand that there are more than just one dimension in the political spectrum. another (much more important one, which is why the rulers never talk about it) is authoritarian <-> libertarian. Rand paul is one of the only "not authoritarian" candidates running, the others would be whoever ends up on the libertarian ticket, and possibly the green candidate.

remember this next time someone talks shit about libertarians, the anti-libertarians are fighting for the state to control their lives (and then they will bitch about it when it does).

And, since someone out there is thinking about "abortion", that is a very difficult and politicized topic. Very few out there wouldn't want me in jail for murder if i punched a woman who was 40 weeks pregnant in the stomach and her baby died. What about at 12 weeks? where is the line? if it is murder, then does that 40 week old baby have rights? I am extremely pro-choice (with the father's input) but I can see the argument both ways. I would LOVE to see lifers passing out safe-sex pamphlets, condoms, paying for IUDs/hormones, but IMHO they show their true colors (punish the sin) with how they treat the subject.

Democrates want to take away what's left.

Fixed it for you. Not sure if I've got the political left and right correct though ...

I remember the U.S. before 9/11.

That incident reminds me of how Pearl Harbor was used to get America into the war in the Pacific.

With 9/11 everybody who wanted security got it!

We also got massive long lines at airports with the introduction of the TSA and no fly lists is being filled by argumentive passengers that flight attendants don't want to do their jobs and deal with.

The police also got access to military grade hardware and the population started to become SJWs.

Is this all really worth the "security" that we have received? Are our neighborhoods way more secure? Has drug use gone down (not talking about weed!)? Do you feel more secure at your job and worry less about what you can say?

Security measures take away freedoms and doesn't necessarily mean you are safer.

Yeah, they have bad poker face. Her and Megan Kelly. You can tell when they are being asked to spread something. There was a difference but they've been in lying mode 24/7 for a while now. They are trying to push big stuff.

It started out as an interview and ended up as a debate. Reminded me of those CNBC moderators during the Republican debate. She didn't listen to what he was saying or let him finish his thought; she was just waiting for her turn to talk.

I am convinced especially lately that trump is dumber than a bad of rocks. I think his supporters know it too. They just like the idea of propelling him forward and how successful they are. It's a rare feeling of significance for them that they can get everyone to support a moron.

No one thinks the NSA is going to keep them safe. They just aren't afraid of it like some people are.
