His response was pretty solid and dragged the theme away from the usual butthurt snowflake demanding government intervention to scolding an ignorant child. Mind you, if the school is subject to Title IX anything can happen.

Isn't that the same university where a student got into trouble for posing an opinion on Facebook?

this is how most people at my college behaved, and it was even a state university. in the south we still have a semblance of logic.

If universities had any sense they'd force all Title IX claims into the legal system and stay the fuck out of the issues. Someone bitches that the university isn't doing enough to spare their feelings? We sent your complaint to the cops. If the state and federal legal systems don't give a fuck, then your issue is unenforceable bullshit, get over it.

Example: some yahoo in a pickup truck yells a slur at you and drives off. Did you get the license plate? We'll forward it to the cops, if there's a law broken they'll deal with it. If you didn't get the license, if no laws were broken, well, the university has no responsibility to shield your delicate ass from the whole fucking world.

Example: you claim your fuckbuddy at the time flipped you around and plugged your browneye without your consent. Fine. Here's your rape kit, here's a specialist from the precinct to take your statement. Oh, your fuckbuddy has text messages showing you've asked for anal reaming in the past? Fine, past consent doesn't equal future consent. Oh, he's got more messages from you after the event begging him to hang out more? Well, that's not the behaviour of someone who refused consent in the moment. And you waited a year to say anything, until after you two drifted apart? Well, if the law won't press charges we'll help both of you arrange your classes so you won't bump into each other. Now drop the mattress and do some goddamned Kegels because you're dribbling santorum on my guest chair.

On one hand, he opposes political correctness. On the other, he apparently opposed the supreme courts decision on gay marriage. Can't have someone perfect, it seems.

He set a fine precedent, but keep reading.

As a weekly columnist for Bartlesville’s Examiner-Enterprise, the university president has written recent editorials criticizing transgender activism, defending law-breaking Kentucky county clerk Kim Davis and opposing the Supreme Court’s legalization of gay marriage

What a two faced, double speaking, twat. Just what you would expect from a Wesleyan establishment.

Good, if those aren't his values, he should be criticizing them.

Back in my day PTSD was something you got from enduring the hell of war, not something you got from someone disagreeing with you on Twitter.

Back in my day "oppression" meant to have your rights severely restricted, not that other people were more successful than you.

This hardly Piper’s first firebomb editorial against liberal values.

That the sort of narcissism he's talking about can be called anybody's values speaks volumes.

"This hardly Piper’s first firebomb editorial against liberal values."

Um, I am definitely a liberal, and I do not find coddling emotionally confused wanna be adults, or being them to be anything I value whatsoever.
