The Nazis are Fascist, which is the exact opposite of Socialist.

Fascism and socialism are apples and oranges. Fascism is a means, socialism is an ends or rather a goal.
The "national socialists" or Nazi party should serve as a reminder that fascism may (and is likely) come into society under a banner of good intentions or populist policies.
This is why eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.

Fascism is a form of socialism.
The idea that Nazis are in some way the opposite of Communists rather than being a similar-but-different variation on the same theme is attributable directly to Stalin.
