I think when history books are written about WWIII they will say it started on 09/11/01.

Regarding your last sentence, I am reminded of an Oppenheimer quote (paraphrasing): I don't know what weapons will be used to fight World War 3, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones.

I think everyone in charge will realize how foolish an all out nuclear war would be. I always refer to that incredible 4chan post about the politics regarding USA, China, Russia, and the Middle East, which says that nuclear weapons would mostly be used to take out other nuclear silos, but will also include targeting major cities out of spite.

It also says that a civil war instigated by foreign propaganda will be the way to go. It's already happened in Syria, Libya, and Egypt; no doubt it's being used here successfully by our own government, with all this shit about gender and racial equality going around. In fact I'm a little suspect that those videos we're seeing of Putin and how much of a man he is, is partly inspired by Russian propaganda.

Millions have already died. Cheney's civilian body count from his money-grabbing Iraq war saw to that. But don't let a few million dead civilians get in the way of profit.

Go capitalism!

Go back a bit further to operation desert storm, or even further to actions in the cold war that set the middle east up for this, or even further to how the end of WW2 set up the cold war, or how WW1 set up WW2, or how the combined efforts of the French-Indian war, Napolianic wars, and enlightenment era set up for WW1, or how...

Humanity sucks complete ass. Just democracy everywhere and stop killing eachother.

Democracy is not the key. Democracy on its own is a fucking stupid idea for controlling massive ammounts of stupid people. You dont get to the Mars with a democracy of sheeps. What we need is a world government based on resources and educated people. What will happen is the world government part.Sooner, or later. The resource-based and especially educated people part? Never.

Yes.

Except there aren't any sides like the allies and axis this time around. It's just one great big vague cluster fuck of nations not knowing what the fuck to do other than lay back and take the islam dick

No, I don't think so. Here is why...

In the last world war. We went utterly roman on the belligerents. We firebombed Dresden, we nuked Japan. As a collection of nations opposing this threat, we do not have the stomach to do that again. This is why we will never be in a war of that magnitude.

Maybe we could, If we could define the opponents. The problem is, those opponents are hiding among others we would prefer not to harm. We are also unwilling to call out so called allies and friends that are funding radical Islam. Were this truly a war where we wanted to end the threat rather than just hold it at bay, there would be several fairly significant glass parking lots across the world right now.

Until we develop the resolved to end the threat with alacrity and extreme prejudice, until we obtain the resolve to kill an idea, until the belligerents are few and terrified of us, then no, we will not be in a world war.

No, World Wars are when governments go to war. There is already a war going on but a different kind of war where you have a religion trying to take over the world.

No, its 100% on the horizon. Something bad will happen between the US and Russia in Syria. Shoot down a drone or a plane and that is what will launch us into a sweet little war. The global economy is in the shitter, so war is the only answer.

I doubt it. I think Putin is level headed enough to not jump to serious conclusions of such a thing occured. He seems to be working diligently with the West on this matter.

You can't write off Obama and his contempt for Putin. America is pushing for war with both China and Russia. I agree Putin is trying to get along, US just aint having it.

thats why you normalize relations as much as possible, so that when those international incidents happen, and they always do, you arent in WW3. nobody wants to see this profitable world economy disappear overnight to shambles of war.
