However this is still no good reason to stop it. Unless you disagree with the majority of economists and claim NAFTA was bad, they don't list a reason to oppose the TPP. The other "reasons" they state are:

  • The TPP will let fracking companies bypass environmental checks, their source is a two year old paper by an environmental group which some how knew what was going to be in the final draft before it was there...
  • ISDS are bad because they stopped a fracking ban in Quebec; Quebec sold the fracking rights and then banned fracking only on those lands owned by foreign companies, that sounds shady to me and this is still ongoing so no damages and Quebec's ban still stands.
  • ISDS are bad because because a gold mine fought El Salvador on water quality; El Salvador sold a gold mine to a foreign company and then banned gold mining; seeing a pattern here?
