holy shit look at those downvotes on the other comments. 3 negatives within 28 minutes. Something funny is going on...

Anyhow, sanders is doing really well and if he keeps it up we'll see president sanders in the white house wrangling the GOP dominated congress. This of course barring any sudden surprises.

There's a cadre of highly dedicated voaters that really, really, really hate the idea of Bernie Sanders. Same for Trump though, there's automatic down votes for pro-Trump posts and comments. Nobody bothers to post pro-HIllary or pro-Bush things because everyone here hates both of them, for the most part.

i havent seen the first pro-hillary post on voat.... i've seen a few pro-jeb posts, rare.

i defend hillary occasionally from dishonesty, but i do the same for jeb (the poor schmuck). i just think america should not decide their presidential election by way of the FBI, that's all. between Trump and Bernie? i dunno, i'm split because they both can't be bought....

i like bernie because he's the only one who seems to give a fuck about a positive step forward from where america is right this fucking second

.... and Trump who'll probably end up doing the right thing that his top advisers tell him is the right thing whilest saying it like he has a nutsack .... just wanna hear how he plans on avoiding a civil war when he starts deporting brown folks.

I've found voat is getting worse than reddit in this regard. Seems like most of the fuckwits that left reddit for here have stayed here, and most people have gone back to reddit. The only reason I'm here is reddit is blocked at work.

something funny?

Alot of people are here because they don't want to be exposed to the Bernie Sanders Circle Jerk that is Reddit.

and then, once again, we'll see all the liberals realizing how fucking wrong they were, bitching about the guy THEY were excited about, not taking any responsibility for putting him in office, and then repeating the same mistake again with the next retard socialist that promises them unlimited "free" shit.

We've already seen this movie.

This just shows how Bernie is funded by the people and not by corporations. Very excited about this!

Now, if all those people actually voted, and he corporations didn't manipulate the results, that would be awesome.

Stop buying stuff then. It's not like corporations can live on welfare like a lot of citizens do. They either produce and sell to make money or close shop. In any society the more you give the more you get, also applicable in politics. Want to influence it, better yourself, make lots of money go influence politics. Self pity is the mindset of the losers!

6 downvotes and 7 upvotes? 0 Replies too. This seems fucking fishy especially for voat where there usually some form of discussion

It seems that a large amount of Voats userbase hate Bernie, and will automatically downvoat things if they mention him in any positive light.

It's unfortunate; if you disagree and feel the need to downvoat, tell us why instead. We could all learn a lot more from each other that way.

Shows that people don't understand his actual platform, or there are a fuckload more socialists than I've noted.

He has tremendous backing from Unions, which are now basically corporations.

He really does want a political revolution. He wants to get people engaged in the system. The United States voter participation rate is pathetic and we need people to care enough to vote. It's hard when it doesn't feel like it matters, but something is better than nothing.

Bernie wants Election day to be a national holiday so everyone can vote- not just the old and rich.

[–] equi1ibrium 1 points -1 points (+0|-1) ago

Labor Participation rate isn't as important as you think it is. It can work both ways. A corrupt government can force its citizens to vote (Venezuela - 90% voter participation rate), or people don't vote because it's such a corrupt government.

In the end, an non-vote is much better than an uneducated vote.

You're creating a false dichotomy. In the US we have the option to vote, but many of the people who do vote are some of the least informed on the issues and candidates. I do agree with you about the option being more valuable than mandatory voting, but in the US we have the absolute worst possible situation where we have low turnout and low education elections.

Who knew a socialist politician would be the fastest to take peoples' money? Kiss your paycheck goodbye.

Here we have a politician who is supported by the people he's supposed to work for instead of the oligarchy. I don't see a downside here.

[–] Say_What 0 points 0 points (+0|-0) ago

The downside comes after he gets elected. The economic downside. The foreign policy downside. The capitulation to SJWs downside. The government in every little aspect of our lives downside.

Just because the same crowd that voted for Obama are capable of being duped again, doesn't mean it's not a disaster in the making. I wish the millenials had more in common with the greatest generation.

Yeah, he should really be pandering to corporations and the extremely wealthy for money like a patriotic red-blooded capitalist politician.

Oh no, I'd not expect the cowardly draft dodger Bernie to be capable of impersonating a red-blooded patriot.

I would absolutely be a part of the group he would raise taxes on in terms of both individual income and the social security cap. I'm supporting Sanders because he's the only one that understands what's required to compete in the global economy and is fighting the crazy authoritarianism in the US. It's worth every penny not to have the US fall even further behind the developed nations of the world in almost every category (corruption, infrastructure, healthcare, freedom of the press, education, and civil liberties.)

But I mean if Trump makes you feel like a big man because he yells at his gardener there's that too.

I've read comments that are similar to yours, and they're very encouraging. The extra money that you'll pay, will help develop the country, not only for people you couldn't care less about, but for your family and future generations. I appreciate your educated support of Bernie, rather than blindly disapproving him because he wants to "steal from the rich and give to the needy", as they say.

That's very noble, but you should really learn more about Trump. Trump is definitely way stronger on the economy than Sanders
