That was a terrible question. If you can even call it a question.
If russia could afford 500 billion in military spending it would. If the USSR hadn't collapsed russia would still have a lot of "forward" bases. I'm all for acknowledging that US foreign policy is wrong, but let's not forget that russia is responsible for a lot of brutality and destruction. Putin himself has a lot of innocent blood on his hands. There can be more than one agressor.
For what it's worth I rather live in our oligarchy over putin's. Although I wish we had a democracy.
