About damn time. Like many social changes we probably have to wait for more of the old generation to die off before the laws will be changed.

That won't work. They always train their replacements to continue their mistakes. We have to make it happen despite the bumbling idiots and bigots that oppose us because they'll never be gone. For every one that dies of old age, a hundred more are ready to take their place.
Though I get what you're implying about the last generation's chronic narcissism, our own generation is also full of people who would apparently melt to a puddle in agony and then burst into flames and explode if they ever admitted that they're wrong about anything.
