Salon, the same site that publishes different articles by different authors with different opinions about things.

Honesty time. I would prefer a religious leader over a leader who ruled based on Political Correctness. And that seems to be the choice the US has, R's worry about their religion and D's worry about which offended group they can pander to this week. But at least I can point to the Constitution and previous Supreme Court rulings to tell the religious leader to sit and spin. The PC leader has no such restriction.

Are we talking Gandhi or Malik Shabazz?

Seven deadly sins of Salon.com...barnyard progressive, religion has no place in society, Right spite, facts are mean, kissyface Obama, skin pigmentation, gay porn for middle school.

Religion is so deeply embedded that you can find a steeple in nearly anytown USA. Americans are the most tolerant citizens in the world. Not some lunatic Salon version evil, twisted, dangerous little old Granny with her Bible in hand.

No more so than the left's religious delusions of government and how it is the salvation for everyone....

Statism is the world's most dangerous religion by far.

I've noticed you like to blame everything on "libtards" and misrepresent their positions on the issues.

A nice little dig against brother tempus, but in this instance he happens to have history on his side. The 20th century was the deadliest in human history, the majority of which deaths were perpetrated by communist governments against their own citizens. Those same governments were avowedly atheist, and they killed religious people because they practiced religion, in murderous pursuit of some ill-defined religion-free communist utopia.

The author doesn't exactly help things heaping insults on Dr. Carson for espousing the exact same anti-theocratic attitude that the author supposedly prefers.

Can both sides shut up about God? I'm sick of the right-wing's nonsense about fetal souls and Leviticus just as much as I am sick of the left's word salad about the poor little oppressed Muslims and the "bigotry" from those of us who want them kept out of civilized society.

Explain again what's racist about French laicite? No crucifixes, no yarmulkes, no head scarves and no Scientology. Seems like a win all around.

Time to line-item-veto the first. Keep your delusions confined to your heart, your home and your crazy head. Once you bring them out into public you've shown that your loyalty is to something other than this nation and the civil, secular rule of law that governs here.

Get Jesus out of Congress and put Muhammad in a mental institution.

Bible thumping led me away from being a conservative for decades now. I don't mind a candidate or leader having a strong faith. But I see religion as being a personal belief system that you live your life by, not for governing people. For years I went left because it was the lesser of the two evils... But now with the complete SJW takeover... I find myself looking to join the conservative movement again.... only to hear the barrage of bible thumping. Instead of being inspired by the bible, I want to hear them talk about being inspired by the constitution.
