If you're going to go with the assumption that there are no deities until proven otherwise and that there is no divine reward for living a virtuous life, the only point to living is the reduction of pain and the advancement of pleasure

Why do you need a reward for living a virtuous life? I try my best to live a virtuous life because it's important to me. I don't really understand why you need religion or a god for that.

You, and everyone you know, will experience much more suffering and hardship in the remainder of your lives than you will experience pleasure.

I don't believe that for a second.

Atheism is sanctimonious, bitter, catty NIHILISM

It's literally none of those things, although some atheists can be like that, just like anybody else.

Because why bother otherwise? Virtue is not its own reward.

A superiority complex is Atheism's defining trait. Nobody would be an Atheist if you didn't get that rush of dopamine from looking down on those who are religious. If you were honest with yourself and ceded to the fact that you truly didn't know what the afterlife and existence hold for you, you would be an agnostic, a much more respectable position.

That's just such a scary statement to see. You don't get a good feeling from just helping other people? It's more concerning to me to see people doing something just because they're expecting to get something in return.

I'm just going to say that nothing about that is true. I don't know what the afterlife holds for me, that's why I'm not going to let anything about it affect my actions on this earth.
