It doesn't have anything to do with thinking for themselves, it's just not believing that there's a god. There's not much more to it than that, and it's dangerous to assume anything specific about somebody based on their religion (or lack thereof) alone.

To believe there is no god is just as much of an assumption as believing there is one. As far as I'm aware, there isn't any evidence that there is no god, only that parts of the many established religions are not true. There could very well be a god and we just don't have the information and perspective to understand what it is. I doubt it's some bearded dude in a cloud, though.

No need to go that far.

Just don't practice your religion in a way that bothers anyone.

I absolutely believe in God, I just can't find a religion that fits my belief (besides a small small part of Hindiusm)

Lol if you're practice religion you're sure to bother someone. Typically it will be someone else who doesn't practice your brand. Hell they might even start a war over it.
