It has to justify its existence even if it has to break the law to do it

Usually when things don't make sense, the answer is money.

https://www.hrw.org/report/2014/07/21/illusion-justice/human-rights-abuses-us-terrorism-prosecutions

This is probably the most reputable and comprehensive report on it. A great read if anyone has any interest in the subject. It's sorta long at 214 pages, but the executive summary is pretty pointed.

Looking at the source website's frontpage you have articles such as "Is Conspiracy Theory Losing Its ‘Powerful’ Semantic Implications?" and "WTC7 and 9/11 Truth 14 Years Later: “People Still Want the Truth". Definitely a conspiracy crackpot site.

I think the point is that it's an opinion piece, with no actual factual information to reinforce it. An article with the same conclusion on the FBI, but facts backing it up, might belong on /v/news, but not this one.

All of the examples I've seen in the news, have basically boiled down to sting operations. Completely legal and justified. Yet, because it's a terror operation, people get uppity. They say nothing when it involves drugs, guns, human sex trafficking, etc.

Part of it was OP linking to a shit article on a shit site. The problem though is a very real one. Human Rights Watch released this comprehensive report on the subject. Recommended it over just about any other report on the subject.

Read the book "Terror Factory" and you'd discover you were 100% correct.

As a war vet I know terrorist never announced his intention, They just attach and go. And then you see on the news just before every major holiday the news will say there is a possible terrorist attach.

However true or not this is, the article has next to no factual information in it, not even a link to the TED talk it mentions, which is quite something regarding an article that makes such a claim.

Entrapment is a defense to criminal charges on the basis that the defendant only committed the crime because of harassment or coercion by a government official. Without such coercion, the crime would never have been committed.

Coercion is entrapment, put plainly and simply.

Go fuck yourselves, FBI.

I'm not surprised. CIA is their metaphorical penis.

CIA is outside the United States, FBI is within.

Both of them need to be abolished and, of course, replaced with agencies that respect humans.

You sure about that?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mockingbird

Operation Mockingbird was a secret campaign by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to influence media. Begun in the 1950s, it was initially organized by Cord Meyer and Allen W. Dulles, and was later led by Frank Wisner after Dulles became the head of the CIA. The organization recruited leading American journalists into a network to help present the CIA's views, and funded some student and cultural organizations, and magazines as fronts. As it developed, it also worked to influence foreign media and political campaigns, in addition to activities by other operating units of the CIA.
