Clinton, Bush Jr., and Obama have all admitted to smoking pot. Bernie probably has. Trump probably has. We're imprisoning people for a victimless crimes and taking resources away from real crime, like embezzling trillions of dollars from the global economy that harms billions of people.

Your argument makes sense in a fair world. Unfortunately, we're far from that. These clowns would be smoking scoobs left right and centre in their sweet mansions.

Trump has definitely been on the wrong end of a bucket bong. He looks like a junkie that his parents gave cash to.

Oh, you caused trillions of damage to our economy, and its very clearly traceable? No worries at all.

You little fucker, you smoked some weed? You're in the brig, you callous prick. You didn't hurt anyone, but by god you'll feel the full force of the law.

The "war on drugs" (as conveniently vague as that is) is far too lucrative both above the table and under it.

We've seen that the big banks make a lot of money laundering money for them. The two topics he brings up are more intertwined than most people think.

Is "causing damage to the economy" a crime?

I've observed some Voat groupthink where people are upset about him conceding to the Democrat appeal of [some form of] gun control. Although I still hold the position it's a marketing effort and not something Bernie truly wished to advertise. Just a year ago Bernie was saying "you don't charge a hammer manufacturer with a crime if the hammer is used to assault someone".

Also some were upset when Bernie's aide apologized to Black Lives Matter, but Bernie himself did not feel an apology was necessary.

Not sure what else Voaters think about him, but those are two points I've come across in threads.

To be fair, Trump wants to legalize drugs and use tax revenue to fund drug education. So it's not just the Bernster who wants this, and it's not just democrats either. The Don and others are for legalization, too.

Though the congress and state legislatures are largely to blame for not changing the laws that will eliminate this disparity having someone like Sanders as president speaking to this issue would help push the changes.

He's actually starting to get coverage, mostly because the democratic polls are neck and neck between him and Hillary, with Sanders even leading in some polls. Problem is Trump is getting almost all of the political coverage to himself, with the democrats in general (and hell, the other republicans, except when they have something to say about Trump or Trump has something to say about them) being snubbed at the moment. More I think because Trump is just outrageous enough to bring eyeballs to the news channels than because of any pro-trump or pro-republican bias on part of the major networks, aside from maybe Fox, but then it wouldn't surprise me if Fox was spending more time on Hillary than CNN or MSNBC are right now, for similar reasons to why MSNBC and CNN spend so much time on Trump.

Maybe social media is the only advertising bernie can afford on his budget. I'm with you though, none of these posts about him surprise me. Just poll any random crowd of college age druggies if you want to know Bernie's stance on anything.
