I've always though of him as a clown, and nothing he could say could ever convince me of his capabilities; but Goddamn this is the kind of thing Obama should have said from day one. Does the left need a reality show Republican candidate to articulate what should be in principle their ideas?

Does the left

You would be implying Obama was "Left" from your comment. I'm under the strict belief that both parties are simply advancing alternate views from different groups of extremely wealthy individuals. Sanders is actual Left. He did condemn the war, and he continues to even today.

"In short, the Bush administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003," the group said, reported CNN.

How many lives were lost? And people have their panties in a twist over emails?

Republicans suddenly cared about the few Americans who died in the Benghazi embassy when there was a Democrat in office. Did they give a shit when thousands of American soldiers were being sent back in body bags from Iraq? Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi vets are still suffering today because of that Bush lie. All I remember is that Republicans had their pit bulls Hannity and O'Reilly go after Cindy Sheehan for speaking up for her son who died for nothing in Iraq. They called her the traitor. The entire Bush administration lost some 5 million e-mails and Republicans couldn't give a shit.

We can be upset about two things. I didn't spend all my CareCash on emails. I don't have to log into my App Store account and buy more CareCash to care about needless wars as well.

I know Trump was a huge George Bush supporter up until 2005 when the American public's opinion on the Iraq war soured greatly. Thanks to the digital age, it's just a matter of time before people dig out those video clips of Trump saying George Bush was great for this country and that his critics should be tried for treason. I only have my memory as evidence for now, but I am positive Trump was Bush's biggest cheerleader up until 2005.

That's Trump for you. Like I said, he's the kind of guy that if you ask who he's rooting for during a ballgame (NFL or MLB), he'll say "the winner".

How does that matter? I just remember that anyone who did not support Bush's Iraq war were skewered by Republicans, especially in Texas and down South. Think Dixie Chicks, Congressman Murtha, France, etc. Then after the Iraq war was exposed to be a true disaster, those same fuckers said it was all Bush's idea with the support of mostly Democrats. BTW, these same fuckers are the ones who want to push us into a war with Iran. They'll rewrite history on their roles for that too when we go to war in Iran for Israel in 2017. My point is, stop switching sides depending on the way the wind blows just so you can keep up the Republican mantra of "Never Apologize". Anyway, Trump supported Bush up until it wasn't fashionable to support Bush.

Anyone who was paying attention in 2003 pretty much knew the evidence was fabricated. This was why Cheney had Libby hand out the name of a CIA agent, to discredit her husband, Joe Wilson, who published an article in July 2003 in the New York Times, PROVING that the evidence was fabricated. But even Powell's speech at the UN in February seemed pretty weak.

I never supported Bush, ever, but I have supported politicians who later turned out to be disappointments. Based on that new information I changed my mind about them. People would be able to produce columns where a supported someone one year and turned on them the next.

In a just world, Bush would have been.

In a just world, Obama would be impeached for claiming the right to summarily execute Americans without trial.

If Noam Chomsky was the president of the USA he would not take any action whatsoever because it might misplease somebody on this planet.

That's mostly because the Nuremberg laws were vague pos that have no correlation to justice.

Heck they're actually illegal under European law (There are laws against vague laws :D)

In a just world, Obama would be impeached for claiming the right to summarily execute Americans without trial.

That is the patriot act that allows assassination of American citizens without trial if they are assumed to have connections to terrorists (a terrorist can legally mean any group at all) , and that was George Bush's idea.

For those Republicans who still deny the Bush administration lied to the American People about Iraq and WMDs:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Cr3kKmalaQ

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnN8xdCozHk

And that is why I will have a hard time ever voting for a Republican Presidential candidate or Republican House or Senate candidate again. BTW, ALL the Republicans voted against the Iran nuclear deal. Their leader in Israel told them to vote against it.

"Look, it was not Saddam Hussein that attacked the World Trade Center, OK? In fact, those people, when they sent their families back, most of them went back to Saudi Arabia," Trump said. "It was not Saddam Hussein that took down the World Trade Center. And, in fact, Saddam Hussein killed terrorists. They had very few terrorists, because he didn't terrorists in Iraq, and he killed terrorists. So, we go and attack Saddam Hussein. Now, Iraq now is the number-one breeding ground for terrorists. All the terrorists go to Iraq to learn the trade. You know, we all have trades, right? And they go to Iraq. But you didn't have that when Saddam Hussein was running Iraq with an iron fist. Now you do. Now, we took out Saddam Hussein. What have we created? A mess. And the day we leave Iraq, it is going to be - forget it."

1) "he didn't terrorists in Iraq"

2) " Now, Iraq now is the number-one breeding ground for terrorists. All the terrorists go to Iraq to learn the trade. You know, we all have trades, right?"

3) " And the day we leave Iraq, it is going to be - forget it."

It sounds like a quote from Donald Trump. Half-true, half thought out comments that most people just go "Yeah!! he's right". Assuming that terrorists are terrorists because that's their profession and not because a US drone strike killed their family because uncle Achmed brought his AK to the wedding party, seems a little daft.

So the most important quality in a candidate is that they speak clearly? Petty nitpicking. You got the message.
