I see a whole lot of arguing here, but no new arguments.

I've got one I haven't heard yet: How bout free government issued voter ID cards? Doesn't that satisfy everyone?

Now poor people can vote. Rich people too. Hold on to your freedom cards folks, and vote for the giant douche or the turd sandwich!

I'm not satisfied. Free ID still requires me to stand in line and go to the place that gives it out. An ID is my RIGHT! Fuck these fascist pigs trying to steal my time and make me get a free ID! My time is more valuable than standing in a line, quit violating my civil rights! /s

Hear hear @boogieman_!

I can't be expected to wait in line for free stuff. I'm a very busy poor disenfranchised voter. I got shit to do.

Uhh.. that exists. Anyone can go to their local DMV and get an identification card. No fees. Just uninformed people Edit: Whoever downvoted this, keep it classy man. You're the epitome of downvote abuse.

Really? Count me among them. As luck would have it, I'm going to the DMV as soon as I'm done procrastinating today, I'll see if I can get myself a free ID in case I lose my DL or something.

I was thinking about this as well. If the selective service is opened up to males and females, when a person signs up, they are mailed a voter ID. If they lose it, then they have to get a new one which is the same for losing a BC or SSC. I'm not sure if they would be able to keep track of females if selective service isn't opened up for everyone.

Another way would be to make it the schools duty. All out going seniors, regardless of age, are given a voter ID card. This becomes a problem with people who home school their kids so maybe it isn't the best idea.

Statistically they are such a small minority that it's negligible. Besides which most of those people as well either aren't big on government registration (the Beast and whatnot) and will be happy to be left out, or tend to have the money and familiar resources (like the stay at home teaching parent who has adequate time to run errands) so that is probably ideal.
