Quote from the article citing a news article from about 2005: "MONTPELIER — Rep. Bernard Sanders’ wife Jane was paid about $30,000 from 2002 to 2004 for work on his campaigns, while his stepdaughter Carina Driscoll got about $65,000 over a five-year period ending last year, a Sanders aide said Wednesday."
Hiring of family members should be met with scruitiny. However, assuming that both were qualified to be hired as far as their skills and expertise go, that's not a lot of money. That isn't paying a full time wage. Contrasted with the opening of the article citing another well known politician who paid their family member $481,000. That number raises my eyebrow a bit more...

It looks like it was closer to $90000. Over 15 years.
So, like $6000 a year on average. For work that they actually did.
The nerve.

Wow what a small amount of money over that period of time

It doesn't seem to be that much money. He hired his wife's company to do work for his campaign and she got paid because of it, as someone who works for a business does.

Doesn't sound like much. If this is the best dirt they can get on him, he's in good shape.

So accusations are from 05 and 06 and his response is you're lying. Is there anything more to this?
