No it doesn't.
Opinion pieces aren't journalism. They are not fact. They aren't even stories about what is happening. They are someones opinion about what happened.
Opinion pieces are censored constantly. Not every one that gets submitted gets printed. It could even be argued that opinion pieces are only printed at the discretion of the editor and therefore reflect what the editor wants people to read.
You might have had a point if the subject was actual journalism.
