Jury duty was never supposed to be fun, It is an American's responsibility and civic obligation. Do you know any people who WANT to go?
More importantly, if he doesn't respect the American system, how can anyone support him? If he would lie to get out of jury duty, what else would he lie about?

Be that as it may, it means I understand why somebody would want to get out of it. Please note that I can be understanding without condoning.
The same can be said about paying taxes. Fact of the matter is that federal employees, possibly a significantly higher percentage than the general public, don't pay their taxes.
Actually me, but that's just because my boss made work miserable.
I would hardly consider jury duty the sole defining feature of the "American system".
However, since you're driving so hard on this, who do you support? You clearly have a dog in this fight, so I'm curious which one.
You're right, somebody of his influence should have been able to get out of jury duty fairly easily and legally. That said, in a city the size of Manhattan how has one person been "randomly" selected 5 times over 9 years.
As for the last half of that statement, I find it laughable that this is the sticking point for you. Yeah, people should dot their I's and cross their T's, but in the real world that doesn't happen. Rather than trying to get out of jury duty, let's make the metric something that has a more tangible impact on the public's safety. How many politicians, either personally or with their drivers, have gone over the speed limit, rolled through a stop sign, gassed it to beat a yellow light, followed the vehicle in front of them too closely, or not signalled properly when changing lanes? Considering I don't know a single person that hasn't on at least one occasion done this, I'd wager that there's not a single politician that hasn't, either. So, to paraphrase you, what other laws are all the politicians breaking?
I don't support him, but this isn't a huge effing deal for me, either. I personally don't have a vested interest in this, I just took issue with your initial statement. So again, I'm not condoning skipping jury duty, but I understand.
