The way I see it, the FBI et al has essentially created a political pressure cooker scenario on the right where everyone on the left can say anything, up to and including threats or even plans of mass violence (and this doesn't go unnoticed on the right. In fact its a major political grievance). Meanwhile on the right a guy can post a picture of his rifle and say "this melts snowflakes" and clearly explain its a joke and be destroyed by the legal system over it.
Well the problem with that is, you lose the ability to effectively tell whos radicalized because suddenly, no one says whats what. I think a lot of the 'peaceposting' is people avoiding arrest for terroristic threats. Read a comment on twitter, facebook, youtube, doesn't matter, if it seems like its implying something but dodging saying it directly, flip a coin, theres a 50/50 chance they mean the opposite and just aren't saying it.
