Could be them crashing the price on purpose so they can dump their american dollars into it, to get a shit ton of Yuan for cheap. And watch it rise back up past where it was before the crash next quarter silently.
edit: to me this looks like a time to buy into the Yuan for some easy profits on the back of their manipulation.

Be very careful sooner or later their internal manipulation of the yuan will not be able to affect market price and when that happens people assuming it's bounce back are going to lose a lot of money. It isn't just the US who's had enough and is shipping what they can back to their shores and the rest to stable asian nations like s. Korea and Japan but a lot of others. That is going to hit the yuan for real soon.
