Just FYI, turning this disaster into a superfund means that after polluting this water stream, the EPA gets to bill all the landowners the costs of cleaning it up. The EPA will make an absolute shit ton of money from this debacle which they caused.

how can people be so reckless and uncaring. I am sure cleaning up the mine would have cost about the same as building this facility. But noooo we got to trash rivers, kill fish, devaluate communities, and then spend the money to do a shittier job then what could have been done before. The American way i guess.

Even if there is no conspiracy,, the answer to the problem will be that the EPA needs more funding and more regulation to insure that nothing like this ever happens again.
