1) If he/she is a taxpayer.

2) if he/she thinks his/her children, grand children, great grandchildren might be taxpayers.

This guy has promised so much free shit already he can't deliver

read his ten point plan. he plans to raise the money by closing tax loopholes that let billionaires siphon money tax free to off shore holdings. he has very explicitly outlined a detailed plan that wouldnt impsct 99% of Murica while still raising tens of billions.

Taxing investors more ultimately leads to less income tax revenue.

like what?

For starters, he wants to hand an annual $63 billion bailout to our universities in order to make tuition "free" instead of solving the root cause of their perverse business model (the federal student aid racket).

Another example of his delusion: he wants to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour, which will end up fucking over the taxpayer as the millions of people who lose their jobs as a result of the wage hike start lining up for government handouts.

Bernie seems to think that the supply of other people's money to fund all his big ideas is unlimited.

His anti-gun stance, his socialist views on property rights, more welfare, and now the fact that he caved to black protestors. He's a joke. At first he seemed great, but he is a joke.

you know he marched for black rights in the 60's? he didnt cave he was supporting them.

More welfare would further destroy the black community.

No, he caved to a hostile stage takeover. That's not supporting them. Where is his dignity and self respect.

MLK neither shoved him aside nor was he known for belching obscenities. Bernie simply doesn't seem like he has any self respect after what "he was supporting" recently.

I disagree with Senator Sanders on a number of issues. I do not believe parental leave should be required by law, nor do I believe that college should be funded by the taxpayer. To each their own on that. If you want to have a child, save for it and have one. If you want to have an education, save for it and get one. I also believe in a strong military and hawkish foreign policy, both of which Senator Sanders isn't too fond of.

College is worthless nowadays, and I can't imagine why people would pay so much for that sort of "education." But to ask the taxpayer to be responsible for that and allow tuition to rise higher and higher... completely unacceptable, Bernie; giving a blank check to the scum administrators of "higher education."

Throwing taxpayer money at it wont solve anything and will simply make it all worse.

Are you about to become a millionaire or billionaire? Have you got the bootstraps to make it to the 1%!

Bernie's not your guy, no "temporary embarrassed millionaires"

Paging /u/brother_tempus. This is one place your copypasta response to Sanders' 12 point plan is appropriate.

Taxing investors more doesn't lead to more tax revenue.

I am not going to vote for him simply because I am not a socialist.

I believe that individuals can (and do) make the best decisions for themselves. And that we don't need the Federal Government to make decisions for us. I also believe that wealth redistribution is unjust, and he is 100% for wealth redistribution.

I honestly believe that the reason the US is in so much trouble right now financially is because politicians just keep spending money, and that is all BS wants to do, spend a lot of money.

Yeah, and we need to stop it, not do more of it.

I agree that there is something very wrong with the US, the wealth gap is huge and something needs to be done.

If there was no wealth redistribution in the US, for someone to get rich, they would have to convince people to voluntarily give them money. If they couldn't do that, then they wouldn't get any more money.

But right now, there are thousands of millionaires who get most of their money from the government, in the from of jobs, contracts, aid, etc.

Take Wal-Mart for example, something like 3 Billionaires in that family. They get ~20% of all their profits from SNAP. They get their land through government bids and special deals. So we all pay taxes and that money eventually goes to the Waltons.

Look up the top companies in the US, then look at their largest client, It's almost always the US Government. Then look at their CEO's, CFO's, Board Members, etc. and you will see a bunch of multi-millionaires. This is wealth redistribution at it's finest. And it's a full loop.

Government taxes the middle class,

Gives money to billionaire companies

Companions pay CEO's Millions

CEO donates to politicians

Politicians spend more taxes on said company.

It basically funnels money out of the working class and gives it directly to wealthy people.

If those companies had to earn the money by convincing free people to voluntarily give them money, they wouldn't last that long, and the money would stay in the middle class.

If we removed the tax and redistribution, there would be a huge incentive for the companies to offer better products and better prices since they would not be guaranteed the money.

If you leave the system the way it is and just tax them more, all you are going to get are rich people and big businesses leaving the country. We live in a world market, and when you can move a factory from Dallas to Mexico and save millions, Why wouldn't you?

What's your reasoning on why Germany, Britain, and Canada are all doing well? They all have much higher domestic spending than we do.

[–] erietemperance 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago  (edited ago)

I can't speak for Britain or Germany, but I live right on the Border with Canada and my wife works with a dozen of them. If you ask them, they are not doing very well, perhaps on paper, but their moral is down. We get a few local Canadian channels and they are in a huge economic downturn. Their dollar lost ~40% in the last 4 years, In 2008 they had their debt to the lowest it's been in a long time, now it 90% of their GDP, their Public Debt is 90% of their GDP! Civil liberties are almost nonexistent, and owning a gun is about as easy as getting your hands on Uranium. If you want beer you have to buy it from the Government, it's illegal to use a vaporizer outside, and the taxes are insanely high.

Wealthy Canadians go to the US to use our health care system because the Canadian one is completely broken.

in Windsor, Ont., which borders Detroit, patients are sometimes sent to Detroit for treatment

So what do you mean by "Dong so well?"

Edit: Dong

Are you okay with America turning into Greece, as long as you can get some free shit at the taxpayer's expense? If not, Bernie is not for you.
