He’s wrong to say Poland hasn’t taken in any refugees. Over a million Ukrainians have relocated to Poland since the conflict started. Most just look to work rather than obtain asylum status so they’re often not recorded as refugees. But nonetheless Poland is and has been offering sanctuary to people fleeing a conflict. I’d say Poland has taken in a lot more genuine refugees than the Germans who seem to regard anyone with slightly darker skin than your average Bavarian as a refugee whether they happen to be fleeing conflict, persecution or not.

Taking in ukrainians is a mistake.

Poland should have demanded Germany take them in. This way, nationalist germans currently suppressed by their own government can rightfully claim to 'support immigrants' while backing ukrainians who kick muslim rapefugees asses. That would throw a spanner into merkle's machine wouldn't it?

Force her to decide which "refugees" she supports.
