Great anecdotal evidence there, many are not so lucky as you because of things like institutional bias and prejudice and a system that is in place to virtually eliminate social mobility.

I agree with you I came from poverty and I joined the Marines EAS'd(expiration of active duty service) and currently pursuing STEM(Biochemistry) degree with a nice fat savings account. It really is as simple as impulse control I chose a trailer over a dorm room for expense reasons, my clothing comes from thrift stores, and every meal I eat I cook myself. I don't live a life of luxury, I don't live a life based on obsolescence, I buy what I need and literally save 6-8000$ every year as a full-time student who is also a research assistant. People call themselves victims and don't do anything to change it.
