Yes - but who can pay that much just to have a baby? $400 an hour is offal steep. So 10 babies are worth $2milliin dollars in 3 weeks time. Granted - the highest expense should be the nurse @$25 an hour. A doctors 2 minute visit is worth an hour, say $200... So: $1000.00 a day. I still don't see how that can justify the other $9k a day. The pharmacy should be structured like going to any other pharmacy. The baby should not pay for the entire machine + 2 more for using it once.

Probably because $200k is a completely made up number? According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average bill for doctors' fees and hospital charges runs around $9,700 for a normal delivery and roughly $12,500....... You know google is like a second away?

You are paying for mitigation of risk. That Ob/Gyn that you sue because of some bullshit reason 18 years later (yes you can sue until the child is 18), even if it doesn't go to trial results in significant court costs, opportunity cost of the provider, and so on. All the equipment, supplies, and personnel has to be paid. Hospitals have to get paid. And finally, you are paying for everybody else who skips out on their bill or is too poor to pay. Everyone wants their bills paid until it comes time to pay someone else's, then it's not so fun anymore. Well that's what people want, so suck it up and enjoy paying for the illegals and deadbeats.
